Postgraduate Nurse Education and Training
Nursing Practice Development and Nursing Management in St. Vincent’s Hospital recognise the importance of continued professional development for registered nurses. Nursing staff are actively encouraged to pursue further education both in-service and within the Higher Education Institutions. Each year, a number of nurses undertake Post Graduate Diploma courses, with some continuing on to Masters Level.
All mandatory training courses are carried out on-site. A number of our nursing staff are accredited trainers in BLS, Manual & People Handling and TMVA.
The co-ordination of undergraduate and postgraduate nurse education and training is the responsibility of the Nursing Practice Development Department. Please click on the Department Link for further information.
